Marketing International in the Americas David Sierens founded Marketing International following success with the International Council of Shopping Centers, where he created their Annual Leasing Mall, thirteenth largest trade show in the United States and the largest real estate event in the world.
Educated as an architect at the University of California at Berkeley, David received his MBA from Wharton. David graduated from architecture into management consultancy, working for a number of firms in New York and Philadelphia, prior to joining ICSC. He is based out of the MI head office in Seattle.
Jeff Gallagher is Director of Marketing for Marketing International, based in Lake Worth, Florida. Jeff is in charge of market research and also has responsibilities in sales and operations.Over the past 16 years he has gained extensive experience in marketing and expositions. Prior to joining marketing International, Jeff worked in sales, marketing and advertising, which included sales for the National Restaurant Association and the American Hospital Association expositions, and development work for the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society.
Jeff worked in Malawi for 18 months on a project related to the transportation difficulties faced by landlocked countries. Jeff received a B.A. (Honors) degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and, is a graduate of the American Embassy School in New Delhi, India.
Marketing International in the Middle East MI’s Dubai office is headed by Mounia Tabbouche. Algerian-born, Mounia studied law in Paris and has represented the company in the Middle East since 2005.
Mounia’s experience covers the legal and banking sectors, and she has developed a Gulf-based subsidiary for one of the company’s US clients. Her experience in trade shows and exhibitions has included assisting clients in the region’s Cityscape property marketing events as well as further afield. Mounia is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
Marketing International in Asia
MI’s Asia representative is Sandra Pang. Headquartered in Hong Kong, Beijing-born Sandra has 20 years experience in marketing and public relations in the region, having begun her career with Newsweek and the South China Morning Post.
Sandra’s Pronto agency, created in 1998, has represented the region’s largest coal mining trade exhibition, while her marketing promotion and advertising experience crosses a broad range of disciplines including construction and financial services.
Marketing International in Europe
MI’s European presence is headed by Chris Bown. Initially trained as a journalist on a real estate publication, Chris has more than 20 years experience in the sector, in both journalistic, marketing and public relations roles.
As the second editor of the MIPIM News, he was instrumental in driving forward the trade show’s publications over the last 15 years. Originally trained in architecture and construction, Chris received his MBA from Manchester. Based out of London, he advises a range of real estate estate corporations on their media presence.
